How does your dream day loo like?
I want you to imagine your perfect day from the time you wake up, to the projects and people you work with and interact with, to the time your head rests at night.
In the book Miracle Mornings, by Hal Elrod, he talks about six practices you must do to start your day.
When you consistently do all six of these practices every morning, you not only transform your day, but your life.
Mediation Taking time in the morning to be still in purposeful silence, meditation, prayer, reflection or gratitude helps you quiet the mind by centering yourself in the present moment.
Research in neuroscience shows meditating even one time has a profound impact on your brain. Ground your morning and power up your mental power with meditation. (Recommend 5-20 minutes)
Affirmations Your beliefs shape your thoughts, your actions and your habits. If you want to amplify your day, reading out loud 10 beliefs to raise your level of success in all areas of your life.
Consistently reading these beliefs out loud with deep feelings of truth will help you intentionally shape who you become in the process. (Recommend 5 minutes)
- What do you really want? And why? - Who are you committed to being? - What actions are you committed to taking?
Visualization When you visualize your victory, focus on your dream outcome, and feel the way that you would feel having everything your want reprograms your brain to develop creative solutions and learns new skills faster.
Similar with affirmations, visualizing what your really want, who you want to become and what actions you are committed to taking will help you overcome any resistance or obstacles you face along the way. (Recommend 5 minutes)
Exercising Regardless whether your like to ease into your day or start with a high power workout, taking at least 5 minutes to get your heart pumpin and oxygenating your body with exercise to either stretching, walking outside, yoga, swimming, running, cycling, cross fit, dancing in your living room like no one is watching, just to name a few. Do whatever makes you come alive and brings you the most joy. Do it. (Recommend 5-60 minutes)
Reading Leaders are readers. Reading 10 pages a day can help you develop new skills and knowledge in a fraction of the time it takes you to watch a single episode of Game of Thrones or whatever show you fancy. What skills do you want to develop? What knowledge or expertise do you want to master?
Journaling Planning your priorities and strategizing your day go beyond your to-do list and tasks on your checklist. It’s about defining and focusing on your most important projects and the top 5 actions that will help you make the fastest progress or momentum to move forward. It’s about developing automated and streamlined process that will also generate a profit so that YOU use the best use of your time rather than busywork that eats up your time, energy and day.
Most importantly, customize your morning practice so that you love it and it makes you jump out of bed in the morning. Commit to 30 days to make your morning practice a habit that can change your life.
