the pull before the launch

Have you ever had a time where for every step you took forward, you took either two or three steps back?

You may have felt you've been walking through glue, not able to progress nearly as quickly as you had hoped.

When you can feel the weight of the world on your shoulders, it’s easy for the self-doubt to creep in regarding your abilities and whether you have what it takes to get your projects, business, goals or dreams off the ground.

In these same very moments, you are being tested, stretched and pulled beyond any limits you thought were possible in order to strengthen and build your character.

Because there may be nothing yet in the external world that gives you any indication that you’ll succeed, the desire to quit grows the strongest.

If you or someone you know can relate to this, watch this week's video!
It is during this time that I love to look to the leaders of the past that changed our history through their courageous efforts. One in particular that recently caught my attention was Nicholas Winton.

Winton was a British humanitarian who organized and rescued 669 children from Czechoslovakia before the onset of World War II. He found homes for the children and a safe passage to Britain (most of whom were Jewish).

The rest of the world found out about his efforts almost 40 years later. His efforts now have an impact for generations to come.

The risks and obstacles that stood before Winton, the families and the people that supported this mission look today as insurmountable. I believe that his vision was the key that made this mission a success.

When you can feel the weight of the world on your shoulders, it’s important to remember, "What are you fighting for or loving for? What is your big vision? If not for you then for whom? Your family? Your kids? Future generations?"

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward before it is launched. Each setback, obstacle or hurdle that drags you back with difficulty means that it’s going to launch you into something great. You have to be willing to withstand the discomfort in order to stay focused and keep aiming.

If you’ve experienced setback after setback, use this as an opportunity to take a step back and look at the big picture in order to reassess, re-evaluate, and explore other alternatives. What is working and what isn’t working? Maybe you need to try something you haven’t tried before?

One of the High Performance Habits to help you tap into your inner guidance and wisdom is to imagine your most confident, courageous, happy future you standing to your right, coaching you. What would your best self be coaching you on and action to take?

Remember the Chinese Proverb:

The temptation to quit will be greatest just before you are about to succeed.
We all at times need someone in our corner to believe in us in times when we can’t find that belief within ourselves.

If you don’t think you can make a difference, whom in your world could use that extra little support or a cheerleader on their side?

Share this message with someone who needs it and be that change you wish to see in the world.

Always keep radiating your beautiful light to the world living life with passion, purpose and meaning.

With Love and Belief in YOU,

Yelena

“Anything that is not actually impossible can be done, if one really sets one mind to do it and is determined that it shall be done.” - Nicholas Winton
