When I first started building my business, I promised myself I wouldn’t recreate another hamster wheel that I experienced in my corporate job in my business.
I saw so many and continue to see many people living for the weekend or for their next vacation. Yet, they would spend the vast majority of the time doing work that’s not meaningful to them, working with negative people, negative environments and simply building a life around their paycheck.
I am completely calling myself out because I did this for several painful years. I reached a point where I would feel physical pain waking up every morning. I knew there had to be a better way!
View this week’s video to find out the one tool that I use to keep me from falling into the autopilot trap.
This essentially led me to my quarter-life crisis. Through this awakening, I realized two huge life lessons:
I knew there was more to life than what I was living and contributing
We feel regret the most from the opportunities we don’t take
This really inspired me to be a deliberate creator of my life and shifted the way I lived my life.
What helped me get started was creating an ongoing bucket list - adding anything and everything that I ever wanted to do that inspired and set my soul on fire. From online courses, to seminars, to trips, to books, to volunteering for important causes, to taking care of my mind, body, spirit.
From that list I would take ONE thing I wanted to do within the next year, the next 90 days and 30 days. This allowed me to incorporate and integrate the things that were truly most important to me in my every day life. It was intentionally creating meaning and purpose in my life rather than on autopilot. Learn. Grow. Evolve.
As you go through your list, check off the things you do and add new items that inspire you. Also, share your list with your family and friends. Inspire each other and support each other to make your dreams and wished come true.
Always keep radiating your beautiful light to the world living life with passion, purpose and meaning.
